Meet Dr. Alec OskinMD
Dr. Alec Oskin is the Medical Director of WGM North. Dr. Oskin provides a range of mental health services to clients including medication management and treatment of psychological disorders. He regularly sees with clients with complex needs such as those following from operational stress injuries, and is frequently called to provide expert opinions in psycho-legal cases. He has served on the American Psychiatric Association Business and Industry Committee dealing with Workplace Health Assessments and Treatment.
Dr. Oskin received his medical degree from the University of Alberta in 2000, and completed his psychiatric residency at the University of Toronto, Department of Psychiatry. He then completed a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Calgary Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Oskin has been a lecturer in psychiatric expert witness examination, personality disorders, and psychiatric and medical examination techniques. He is affiliated with the American Psychiatric Association, the Canadian Psychiatric Association, the World Federation for Mental Health, and the International Society for Bipolar Disorder. He is registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons – Province of Alberta, and is an active member of the Alberta and Canadian Medical Associations.
