Meet Jennifer AllanRegistered Provisional Psychologist
Jennifer is a registered Provisional Psychologist and has worked in the human services field for over 15 years. During this time, she has worked in various mental health settings, primarily working with children and adolescents presenting with behavioural, and socio-emotional issues. She has created and delivered numerous groups to children and as provided workshops for parents. In addition to individual counselling, Jennifer’s clinical practice has centered around providing counselling to families, and couples. Jennifer is passionate about the work she does with clients. Her goal is to foster an increased sense of well being within clients, and to help clients learn new ways to effectively manage various stressors and dysfunctions that exists within the their systems.
Jennifer works from a trauma informed lens. With a client-centered perspective in mind, she uses different clinical approaches in her practice. Some of the approaches include Narrative, Gestalt, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural, Expressive Arts, and Systems theory.
